Camping in Algonquin Provincial Park is an excellent summer vacation. It's cheap, the kids are active and your pets can be with you.

Finding the perfect campsite is the challenge. For us taking pictures of each campsite and writing a review helped us make informed decisions when it was time to reserve a site. We thought we would share our Lake of Two River Pictures for other campers.

Below is our list of pictures of each campsite. Clicking on the link will bring you to pictures and our opinions of each site. If you click on the Thumbnail you will get a larger picture of the site. Due to the number of campsites we had to divide up the pages but it may still take a few seconds of patience to download.

If you rather skip our opinions and just see the pictures you can look at them on our sister site Lake of Two Rivers.

If you have any questions you can contact us. Please note we can't book reservations.

Lake of Two Rivers

Lake of Two Rivers is our first campground with pictures and descriptions of each campsite. It took 3 summers to complete but we have all campsite pictures listed here. Please note: We don`t own Algonquin Provincial Park so we can`t reserve a site for you.

What we think:

The best campsites at Lake of Two Rivers are 16, 41, 159, 198 and 200.

Stay away from campsite 23 (outhouse behind site), 34, 35, 36 (garbage drop off is beside), 118, 120 123, 124, (store and Highway 60 right behind), 133 (outhouse behind).

What we like about Lake of Two Rivers, Algonquin Provincial Park:

  • conveniently located Store, Restaurant and Bike Rental
  • Wood Pick Up at the Park office
  • beach at most a 12 minute walk away from any campsite
  • rental canoe drop off and pick up at the beach
  • well used biking trails
  • Blueberries at the Airfield
  • Water Falls safe enough for 5 year olds to slide down (depending on rain).

This is my humble opinion. If you have questions or disagree please feel free to email me.

Why we created this site:

Every year 1000s of people blindly reserve a campsite at one of the many Algonquin Provincial Parks. This site is dedicated to everyone who has ever spent hours searching individual campsites only to reserve a site based on faith, hope and a prayer that the site they picked has everything including privacy.

We created this site for new campers who have never been to Algonquin before and for the experienced camper who has written down which sites they prefer but forget where they put the paper (and you know who you are).
